Americans Abroad Beasley sidelined by hamstring injury.
Beasley has been playing on the left flank of a three-man front line for PSV Eindhoven, which is first in the Dutch Eredivisie at 9-1-1 with 28 points, three points ahead of AZ Alkmmar (8-2-1). At 2-1-1 with seven points. PSV also lead the European Champions League Group E, ahead of Germany's FC Schalke 04 (1-1-2, 5 points), Italy's AC Milan (1-1-2, 5) and Turkey's Fenerbahce (1-2-1, 4) The injury has been nagging Beasley the last few weeks, PSV spokesperson Pedro Salazar told Associated Press. "The American international has torn a hamstring muscle and did not join his team mates for training today," the Eindhoven web site said. "Beasley is expected to be sidelined for some weeks." Beasley was immediately ruled out of tomorrow night's league match at RKC Waalwijk and Wednesay's Champions League visit to Schalke. Beasley played the first 77 minutes of the United States 1-1 draw with Scotland in Glasgow last Saturday. |
