• 91:00: Brazil - Apparent break stopped by third apparently bad offside call against Brazil. Emerson dissent earned yellow card.
• 89:00: Brazil - Serginho catches keeper Kasey Keller off his line, chips shot over him that glances off top of crossbar.
• 86:00: U.S. consistently on the attack. Ernie Stewart send perfect right-de cross to Cobi Jones head in front of goal. Jones, in great position to score, sends header from 10 yards off back of Joe-Max Moore who is between him and goal.
• 83:00: U.S.-- Frankie Hejduk makes beautiful pass to Cobi Jones 12 yards out in right side of box. Jones appears to have good chance, but turns awkwardly and can't shoot.

• 72:00: U.S. - Joe-Max Moore misses penalty kick, scuffs it to left of center, Dida goes right to grab it. PK was was awarded after Odvan takes down Cobi Jones from behind in top left of penalty area.

• 64:00: Brazil - Warley gets behind U.S. defense for free run down left into the box, but defender Robin Fraser runs him down, cleanly forces Worley into weak shot easily picked up by Kasey Keller.
• 62:00: Crowd restless. Neither team able to provide a dangerous finish since Brazil goal in 12th minute. First boos Brazil, then both sides.
