VICTORIA, Canada (Sunday, August 25, 2002) -- Heather O'Reilly scored the first pair of goals, then assisted on the first two of fellow frontrunner Kelly Wilson's three tallies as the United States drubbed Denmark 6-0 tonight in the quarterfinals of the inaugural Under-19 Women's World Championships at Centennial Stadium.

With their third straight shutout and 21-1 goals advantage in four victories thus far, the Americans advanced to face Germany in a Thursday semifinal in Edmonton.

Germany defeated Japan, 2-1 in overtime tonight after tying the match at 1-1 in stoppage time. Canada will face Brazil in the other semifinal.

O'Reilly scored an unassisted goal in the 13th minute and made it 2-0 in the 28th when she put away a pass from Lindsay Tarpley.

Wilson clinched the match with a couple of quick strikes just before intermission; O'Reilly assisted the tallies in the 44th and 45th minutes to make it 4-0 at the break.

Tarpley pushed the lead to 5-0 off an assist from Leslie Osborne in the 59th minute before Wilson completed her hat trick in the 70th minute, converting a Tarpley assist.

Wilson's three goals increased her total for the tournament to seven, second to Canada's Christine Sinclair who has 10.
