Bordeaux have something of a very good record in this league for they have won the title no fewer than 6 times and were promoted into Ligue 1 in 2008–09.
Caen, Dijon and Guingamp are three teams that have yet to claim their name on the trophy and have not yet won the title.
Lille do have different form each season it appears, for they have won this time a total of 3 times and were last promoted into this league at the start of the 2010–11 season!
Lyon have a very track record in this league for in total so far, they have lifted the trophy and won the title a total of 7 and the last time there were promoted into this league as in the 2007–08 season.
Marseille are another team that have done very well in this top tier league and have to date won it a total of 9 times, they were last promoted into this league in the 2009–10 season.
Metz are a team that have never won this title but one team that has won it a total of an impressive 7 times and may just do so again in the future is Monaco.
Montpellier have won the title just once, but Nantes are a much better team it would appear for they have won the title no fewer than 8 times to date!
Nice have always been a top tier team and they have won the title a total of 4 time and it was back in the 1958–59 season that they were promoted to and started to play in the top league in France.
Let me now give you an insight into the last remaining teams that are currently in this league and let you know just how many times if any they have won the title and lifted the trophy.
Paris Saint-Germain have won the title a total of 7 times which is seven times more than Renessa who have never won it. Saint-Étienne have, over the years had some excellent runs of form and have won the title 10 times in total to date, Strasbourg did manage to win the title just once.
Two teams however that have never yet managed to win the title, but there will continue to try and do so if they do manage to stay in this league are Toulouse and Troyes, the latter named team were only promoted into this league at the end of last season by the way!
