On Sunday, four of last seasons top-six take to the pitch in gameweek eight of the Premier League. Here is a detailed look at those big games:

Arsenal v Bournemouth (Kick-off 2 PM)

Arsenal will look to maintain their position in the top-four of the Premier League table when they host Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners are currently fourth place in the Premier League table, a point clear of the eighth-place visitors. Unai Emery’s team are unbeaten in seven games in all competitions. Last time out, the team from north London recorded a 4-0 home win over Standard Liege in the Europa League. The Gunners also drew 1-1 with Manchester United in their last Premier League outing.

The Gunners are unbeaten in four home games in the Premier League, having recorded two wins and picked up two draws. They have been prolific on home soil in the Premier League, scoring at least twice in 12 of their last 13 games at the Emirates.

Arsenal are favourites to pick up another favourable result against a Bournemouth team with an unconvincing recent away record.

Bournemouth have made a decent start to the new top-flight campaign. Eddie Howe’s team heads into this clash on the back of a three-game unbeaten run in the Premier League, including 2-2 draw with West Ham last time out.

The game followed a familiar high-scoring trend for the Cherries, as their last six top-flight games have produced over 2.5 goals. The visitors have won two of their last three away matches in the top-flight. However, Howe’s team has won just four of their last 17 outings on their travels in the Premier League.

Manchester City v Wolves (Kick-off 2 PM kick-off)

Reigning Premier League champions Manchester City host Wolves at the Etihad Stadium, as the Citizens attempt to keep on the coattails of leaders Liverpool.

Pep Guardiola’s team are currently second place in the table, five points behind Liverpool, who have won all their Premier League games so far this season. The Reds host Leicester at Anfield later today.

A 2-0 midweek victory over Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League means that the Citizens have recorded five straight wins in all competitions, scoring at least twice in all five wins.

Last time out in the Premier League, City recorded a hard-fought 3-1 win at Everton. City have been fearsome in front of goal in the Premier League of late, scoring at least twice in their last eight outings.

Unsurprisingly, City have been strong on home soil of late in the top-flight, winning 11 of their last 12 home matches. The Citizens have also kept clean sheets in five of their last six home games in the Premier League.

Wolves made a terrible start to their Premier League campaign, failing to win any of their first six league matches. However, things seem to be looking up for Nuno Espirito Santo’s team, as they picked up their win of the season in their last top-flight match a 2-0 home win over Watford. They also recorded a 1-0 win at Besiktas on Thursday night.

The visitors have failed to win in four away matches in the Premier League, losing two and drawing two games. It seems unlikely that the team from the Midlands team will end their winless away run in Manchester.
