The Premier League clubs with big opportunities in Week 22

The Premier League rolls on this week for another selection of entertaining fixtures as we kickstart the month of February. We’re more than half way through the season now and as things start to take shape, it’ll be very interesting to see how many more twists and turns occur in the weeks to come.

Today, our aim is to pick out four clubs, in particular, who we believe have a huge opportunity ahead of them in the next few days. They aren’t nailed on to pick up all three points and they may not even be the favourites, but if they can find a way to win, it could be huge for their season.

If you feel like putting some money down on any of the games we’re about to discuss, head on over to the betting page.

P.S: A big shoutout goes to Sheffield United, Crystal Palace and Wolves who all took some big opportunities when they came to them last night, whereas Manchester United went to town on Southampton with an emphatic 9-0 win.

Manchester City

Manchester United made a real statement with the win against the Saints, but thankfully for Manchester City fans, their game tonight comes against Burnley. That’s by no means a guaranteed three points for them but given the form they’re in right now, especially when compared to the Clarets themselves, you’d have to think they are going to be the overwhelming favourites to keep control of the title race.

Fulham

Back at the end of November, Fulham surprised a lot of people when they beat Leicester at the King Power Stadium – and now, they have a golden opportunity in front of them to do the double. The Foxes are attempting to bounce back from a defeat at the hands of Leeds United, but as we all know with this Leicester team, they’re as inconsistent as they come. The Cottagers are in with a real shout here and they need to be because another few losses could cut them adrift in a big way.

Leeds

After back-to-back wins over Newcastle and Leicester, Leeds United now find themselves 15 points clear of the relegation zone with just a few months of the season left to go. They’ll be hosting Everton tonight who were given a bit of a shock by Newcastle in their last outing, and if Marcelo Bielsa’s men can make it three wins in a row, they may start to think about the possibility of a late surge for the top six. That sounds utterly ridiculous to some but this season, as we all know, is unprecedented.

Chelsea

Thomas Tuchel’s reign has started off relatively slowly but now that he’s had some time to really embed himself into the club, fans should feel confident about their chances heading into the derby against Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow. Jose’s men are on the ropes after a few poor results and while the Blues are hardly blowing teams away, one emphatic win will put them right back in the conversation for a place in the top four.
