The FPL gameweeks just keep coming at us thick and fast and gameweek 23 takes place this weekend. Our gameweek 22 picks produced mixed results, although we did get two players who picked up points. We are hoping for a full host this time around, so here are our gameweek 23 picks:

Vladimir Coufal (West Ham, £4.7m)

The Czech Republic international has been slightly overshadowed by his compatriot Tomas Soucek this season at the London club. However, the full-back is still looking like a bargain, despite his team failing to keep a clean sheet in the last three gameweeks.

It is his attacking threat and favourable price that makes Coufal attractive, though, not his potential for defensive points. However, on paper a trip to relegation-threatened Fulham this weekend offers Coufal the chance of points at both ends of the field. A home game against Sheffield United in gameweek 24 also looks like a good one, even if the Blades have shown big improvement of late.

Tomas Soucek (West Ham, £5.4m)

Coufal’s compatriot and friend have proven to be one of the Premier League’s most effective midfielders at finding the net. In fact, no midfielder can better Soucek’s non-penalty goal tally of eight this season. The giant midfielder has certainly been busy of late in front of goal, scoring three times in as many matches.

Many FPL players have suffered the pain of benching Soucek and missing out on points. For a cheap asset, with favourable fixtures, Soucek looks like a no-brainer for gameweek 22.

Heung-Min Son (Tottenham, £9.7m)

The South Korean international’s form has dipped since an injury to partner in crime Harry Kane. The pair have combined brilliantly in recent seasons, but Son has struggled in recent matches. He has now failed to score in five league games, producing just one assist in the process.

However, Son has scored 12 times and produced assists this season. His form will no doubt return, but it is just a matter of when it will return and if will be when Kane makes his return from injury. A home game against West Brom looks like an opportunity for the forward to return to the scoresheet, though. The Baggies have conceded at least two goals in their last seven top-flight outings. The arrival of Sam Allardyce as head coach as done little to revive their fortunes.

Do young fancy Heung-Min Son to return to scoring way against West Brom and want to place a bet? Well, be sure to check out our betting page for the bookmakers we recommend for your wager.

Patrick Bamford (Leeds, £6.6m)

The former Chelsea forward has certainly found his feet in the Premier League this season. Bamford has scored 11 top-flight goals and produced a further eight assists for Marcelo Bielsa’s team. After a short dip in form, the 27-year-old has now scored once and produced two assists in his last two outings in the Premier League.

This weekend Bamford comes up against Crystal Palace, who have the third-worst defensive record in the Premier League. The striker will be confident of continuing his recent run of attacking returns against the Eagles.

Will any of our picks be in your gameweek 23 FPL team?
