The Premier League clubs with big opportunities in Week 23
|

The Premier League rolls on this week for another selection of entertaining fixtures as we continue through the month of February. We’re more than half way through the season now and as things start to take shape, it’ll be very interesting to see how many more twists and turns occur in the weeks to come with so many huge games left to be played.

Today, our aim is to pick out four clubs, in particular, who we believe have a huge opportunity ahead of them in the next few days. They aren’t nailed on to pick up all three points and they may not even be the favourites, but if they can find a way to win, it could be huge for their season.

If you feel like putting some money down on any of the games we’re about to discuss, head on over to the betting page.

Brighton

Brighton & Hove Albion have really turned on the style in the relegation battle over the course of the last few weeks and as a result of that, they’re now a healthy 10 points clear of the bottom three. While that’s not exactly confirmation that they’re officially out of the woods just yet, they can take another huge step towards survival if they’re able to beat Burnley this weekend. Based on the form of both teams recently, that shouldn’t be too far outside the realm of possibility.

West Ham

Don’t look now, but West Ham United are legitimate contenders for a place in the Europa League – and potentially even the Premier League if they keep going the way they have been. They’ve been able to go on a fantastic run in recent weeks and if they want to keep that streak going, they’ll have to beat Fulham. The Cottagers are tough, there’s no way of getting around that, but if the Hammers are serious about their European ambitions then they need to be winning games like this.

West Brom

After the loss to Sheffield United you could argue the pressure is off for West Bromwich Albion, because many are just expecting them to be relegated. Sam Allardyce needs to pull off a minor miracle if he wants to keep the Baggies in the top flight, and if he’s going to do it, the place to start will be in North London against Tottenham Hotspur. Jose Mourinho’s men are at an all-time low under his leadership, and West Brom have proven before that they can upset the established order.

Leeds

Leeds United are in a strange position whereby they aren’t expected to be in the relegation scrap, but they also aren’t looked upon as a top half team due to their inconsistency. Either way, they’ll want to accumulate as many points as possible to give themselves a chance at the latter, and a game against Crystal Palace should serve as the perfect opportunity for them to secure another win. The Eagles are in a similar position but aren’t anywhere near as exciting, which should make for an interesting clash of styles.
