Well, gameweek one of the FPL was a high-scoring one. The likes of Danny Ings and Konstantinos Tsimikas picked up points from our FPL picks in gameweek one. This week we are hoping to pick up even more points. Without further ado, here are our gameweek two picks for FPL:

David Raya (Brentford, £4.5m)

The Spanish goalkeeper had the potential to be our set and forget at the start of the season. However, we went with his compatriot Robert Sanchez of Brighton for gameweek one. In reality, both will offer good value over the season in the budget goalkeeper genre.

Raya kicked off his Premier League career with a clean sheet in a 2-0 win over Arsenal. A trip to Crystal Palace this weekend offers the prospect of points. The Eagles are without the attacking talent of Eberechi Eze and new signing Michael Olise. The three matches after the trip to Palace are also not terrible fixtures.

Ricardo Pereira (Leicester, £5.5m)

The Foxes Portuguese full-back is that perfect recipe for an FPL player asset, as he offers good opportunities in both defence and attack. After missing a chunk of season 2020/21 through injury, he now looks to be back to full fitness.

Pereira kicked off the season with a clean sheet and also an assist in a 1-0 win over Wolves in a Midlands derby on gameweek one. The Foxes visit West Ham this weekend, which is not an easy game, but the Irons will give opposition teams chances.

Ismaila Sarr (Watford, £6m)

The Senegalese winger was one of the Hornets star players last season in their promotion to the Premier League, scoring 13 goals and four assists. The 23-year-old has taken his good form from last season into the new campaign by scoring in the Hornets opening top-flight game in a 3-2 home win over Aston Villa. His goal also saw him pick up two bonus points.

Sarr and his team visit Brighton this weekend, which is a game that could be promising for the Hornets. However, it’s not just the Seagulls game that offers an opportunity for points for Sarr, as they only face one team over the next seven games that ranks four in the match difficulty ranking.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin (Everton, £8m)

The England international may well have been in more teams in gameweek one if it were not for a reported toe problem. In fact, he would have been in our gameweek one picks, but unfortunately, we put the article out before the weekly press conference of Everton head coach Rafa Benitez.

Anyway, DCL, as he is known in the FPL community inevitably scored in a 3-1 home win over Southampton. It was not a great surprise, as the England international scored 16 top-flight goals last season. The Toffees looked to be completely set up to feed the 24-year-old with wingers Andros Townsend and Demarai Gray whipping in crosses.

Everton face a trip to Leeds, whose attacking style under Marcelo Bielsa will give the Toffees chances. The Merseysider’s next five games match difficulty rank no higher than five.

Do you fancy Calvert-Lewin to score this weekend and want to place a bet? Well, why not check out our betting page for the bookmakers we recommend for your bet.

Will any of our gameweek two players be in your FPL team?
