Prediction and odds for the game: Real Madrid (13/20) vs Sevilla (4/1)

We are backing the home win

When: Sunday 28 November 2021, Kick-off 20:00

Where: The Santiago Bernabeu

On Sunday night, Real Madrid and Sevilla clash at the Bernabeu in big game in the race for the Spanish title.

Real Madrid

Los Blancos are unbeaten in eight matches in all competitions, having recorded seven straight victories. A 3-0 win over Sheriff last time out means that Real Madrid have scored at least two goals in seven of their previous eight competitive games.

Carlo Ancelotti’s team are unbeaten in their last five matches in La Liga, having recorded four wins, including recording a 4-1 win at Granada. The recent good run has taken the home team to the top of La Liga, where they are a point above second-place Real Sociedad, who have played a game more.

The team from the Spanish capital have been strong in attack, having scored at least two goals in seven of their last ten outings in La Liga. However, they have also only kept one clean sheet in six matches in the Spanish top-flight.

Real Madrid have been difficult to beat on home soil of late in La Liga, as they are undefeated in 15 league matches at home. However, four of their previous nine home games in the Spanish top-flight have finished in draws.

Real Madrid look set to be without veteran winger Gareth Bale and central midfielder Dani Ceballos due to injuries, while Fede Valverde is also an injury doubt.

Sevilla

The Andalusians are currently third in the table, trailing the home team by just two points. A win in the capital would certainly be a boost to former Real Madrid head coach Julen Lopetegui and his team.

The visitors head into this clash on the back of a six-match undefeated run in the Spanish top-flight, four of which have resulted in victories for Los Rojiblancos. Last time out, Alaves held them to a 2-2 draw at the Sanchez Pizjuan. Lopetegui’s team needed a last-gasp equaliser from experienced midfielder Ivan Rakitic to rescue a point.

The game saw the visitors at least two goals for the fourth game out of their previous five matches in the Spanish top-flight. Their prolific goalscoring of late should come as no surprise as only Real Madrid have scored more La Liga goals this season.

Sevilla have been relatively inconsistent on their travels in La Liga, but the Andalusians have lost just once in their previous seven away games in the Spanish top-flight.

Conclusion

Real Madrid have a habit of getting a result when it really matters and we believe they will record a narrow victory. The other bet we recommend is over 2.5 goals scored, as both teams have been in good form in front of goal of late.

Our Tips: We are backing the home win at odds of 4/6 and/or over 2.5 goals scored at odds of 10/11. (All odds are taken from Bet365).
