Here is our third and final instalments of the players we believe will offer good value for money when it comes to FPL. So, without further ado, here are the forwards that we think could be bargains:

Gabriel Jesus (Arsenal, £8m)

This could be the biggest no-brainer selection of the season. The Brazilian international has made a summer switch to Arsenal from Manchester City. This means he is likely to be a regular first-team starter for the team from north London, something he didn’t always get in Manchester.

Last season Jesus scored eight Premier League goals and produced the same number of assists. Those numbers are highly respectable for a player who only started 21 league games last season. The 25-year-old also featured eight times from the bench as Pep Guardiola claimed the Premier League.

His price point and the fact that Arsenal has enticing fixtures at the beginning of the season suggest that Gabriel Jesus has the potential to be one of the best value forwards in FPL this season.

Ivan Toney (Brentford, £7m)

The Brentford star enjoyed a solid return to the Premier League last season by scoring 12 goals and producing two assists. His often-unselfish play allowed a number of his teammates to prosper. At one point last season, Toney was a popular figure amongst FPL managers.

However, it seems that popularity has waned at the start of the new season, despite the former Newcastle forward being the fifth-highest scoring forward in FPL last season. One major reason to select Toney is that after Brentford face Leicester on the opening weekend of the season, they have a run of ten games where they face nobody above 3 in the FDR rankings. That run could prove a profitable one for the forward, especially if the unlikely happens and Christian Eriksen decides to stay with the Bees. The Danish international remained one of the most prolific creators of goals in the history of the Premier League. Unfortunately for the Bees, the former Tottenham star looks set to join Manchester United.

Taiwo Awoniyi (Nottingham Forest, £6m)

The Nigerian international forward was superb for Union Berlin last season in the Bundesliga, scoring 15 goals in the German top-flight and firing his team into Europe once again. The 24-year-old, who was once in the Liverpool youth ranks, looks to have the potential to become a very good Premier League forward. He is big, strong and will offer his team a much-needed focal point on their return to the English top-flight for the first time in close to a quarter of a century.

At £6m, he may be overlooked due to many FPL bosses selecting Erling Haaland and Gabriel Jesus as their two main forwards. Forest also doesn’t have an easy start to their campaign, so maybe Awoniyi may be a useful asset later in the campaign.

Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa, £7.5m)

Once due to the popularity of other forwards, maybe people are not seeing the value of the Villa forward. However, Watkins has now enjoyed two solid campaigns in the Premier League. Last season he scored 11 times and produced three assists. In the previous campaign, he registered 14 goals and nine assists.

At £7.5m, Watkins is considered to be in the mid-range forward category. With his opening three Premier League games all ranking 2 in the FDR, the former Brentford forward may just prove to be a shrewd FPL pick.
