Prediction and odds for the game:  Arsenal (2/9) vs Nottingham Forest (12/1)

We are backing Bukayo Saka to be an anytime goalscorer at odds of 9/2

When: Sunday 30th October 2022, Kick-off 14:00

Where: The Emirates Stadium

On Sunday afternoon, Arsenal host Nottingham Forest at the Emirates Stadium as the Gunners look to maintain their position at the top of the Premier League table.

Arsenal

After a good campaign so far, Mikel Arteta’s team have hit a slight bump in the road of late. The Gunners followed up a 1-1 draw at Southampton in the Premier League by suffering a 2-0 defeat at PSV Eindhoven in the Europa League. However, it must be said that Arsenal was under-strength against PSV, as they had already qualified for the knockout stages of the competition.

Despite the draw last time out in the Premier League, Arsenal have still won ten of their previous 12 matches in the English top flight. The team from north London are two points clear of reigning champions Manchester City at the top of the table. However, Pep Guardiola’s team could leapfrog the Gunners if they beat Leicester in Saturday’s early kick-off.

Arsenal has a formidable recent home record in the Premier League, winning eight straight home games in the English top flight while also scoring at least two goals in all eight of the victories. However, the Gunners have also kept just one clean sheet in their last 13 home games in the league.

Nottingham Forest

The Tricky Trees head to north London bottom of the Premier League table. However, Steve Cooper got back to winning ways last time out by recording a 1-0 home win over Liverpool. The victory ended a nine-game winless run in the English top flight. The game also saw Forest keep their first back-to-back clean sheets on the season.

Their recent league games have been low-scoring in the Premier League, as their previous four league matches have all produced under 2.5 goals.

The visitors have failed to win any of six away games in the English top-flight, suffering four defeats in the run. Forest have also scored just once on their travels in the Premier League this season.

Conclusion

Arsenal will be looking to get back to winning ways but will face a Forest team high on confidence after the victory over Liverpool last time out. However, we are backing Arsenal to be winning at half-time and full-time. The other bet we are backing is Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka to be an anytime goalscorer. Saka has scored three goals in as many appearances for the Gunners in the Premier League.

Our Tips: We are backing Arsenal half-time/full-time 8/11 and/or Bukayo Saka to be an anytime goalscorer at odds of 9/2. (All odds are taken from Bet365)
