Group Stage Matches Today the 15th of June

|

I doubt anybody in Russia is in any way unsatisfied with the way the first match in the Group Stages of this year’s World Cup went yesterday, and with plenty of goals hitting the back of the Saudi Arabia net, there is something of a party atmosphere in Russia today!

However, the Group Stages have of course now kicked off in style, and today there are three other matches that I am sure you are going to want to want to watch today Friday 15th of June 2018.

At the Ekaterinburg Arena in Ekaterinburg the very first match of the day will be kicking off today and that is the match in which Egypt will be playing against Uruguay.

That is of course a Group A match and it will be one that both teams will be desperate to win if they have any chance of pegging back Russia, I think however that it is going to be a coin toss as to which way that match will end, so it should be a nail biter to watch!

Morocco vs Iran

The second match in the Group Stages that will be kicking off today is the Group B match that is being held over at the Saint Petersburg Stadium in St. Petersburg and that is the match in which Morocco will be taking their chances against Iran.

Whilst it is true to say that both of those teams are outsiders to actually win the World Cup that also means that this is going to be a hard match to call the winner of, however if I had to make a prediction I can see this match going to way of Morocco.

For as much as I have been weighing up the form and make up of each team I cannot see anything special in the makeup of the Iran team that could see them winning!

Portugal vs. Spain

The final match of the day today that is another Group B is being held at the Fisht Stadium in Sochi and it will be two major teams that are playing against each other that being Portugal and Spain, and I suspect that regarding the viewing figures of the three matches that are being held today it will be this match that get by far and away the most viewers.

Whilst Spain are the favourites to win this match, I do not expect that Portugal are just going to roll over and let Spain beat them easily, and I do think it is going to be a good match to watch as there is still a chance that Portugal could pull this match out of the bag.

In my opinion it isn’t going to be a match during which there will be lots of goals scored, so you will not see as many goals as Russia scored against Saudi Arabia in their opening match of the Group Stages, but it will be a match worth watching, that I can guarantee you!
