Harry Kane Odds on for the Golden Boot

The Golden Boot is, apart from the World Cup itself, a trophy that all players taking part in the World Cup tournament will have their eyes on winning, but it is of course an award that can only go to one single player, that being the one that scores the most goals.

When the Group Stages of the World Cup were about to start, there were a handful of players that most pundits had high up on their list of potential players that could win that award this year, and one player many of them overlooked was Harry Kane.

However, with the likes of Messi and Ronaldo having already gone home as their respective teams have been knocked out of the tournament, young Harry Kane has found himself being the odds on favourite to win that award, and having banged in the most goals so far in the tournament he is of course the player who rightly deserves it!

There are of course a few more matches left to be played in this year’s World Cup 2018 tournament over in Russia, those matches being the Semi Finals and the Final game itself, and there are still a couple of players that is everything does fall into place during those matches do still have a chance of winning the Golden Boot!

Players that Could Still Win the Golden Boot

It will take a lot of doing though if any other player is to dislodge Harry Kane as the winner of the Golden Boot this year, but having seen the results of any of the matches so far played anything can and has been happening in each match!

The second favorite player to win this year’s Golden Boot award is Romelu Lukaku and the only other player in with any type of chance of winning that award is Antione Griezmann. But soccer pundits cannot see any other player than Kane winning it!

Semi Final Matches

It is of course the Semi Finals that are going to be played next and we do now know which teams are playing each other.

This Tuesday it will be France that are going to be playing Belgium, and with France now being the favourite team to win the World Cup outright that will certainly be an interesting match to watch, and one in which Belgium may be the underdog to win that match, but they are going to be battling right the way throw that match of course.

The following day on Wednesday it will be Croatia who is taking on England, and that match is going to be just as exciting as the one above.

However, it is England that are now the second favourite team to win the World Cup this year and as such that match is possibly going to go the way of an England win if you look at the way that Croatia did have to battle when they beat Russia yesterday! However anything could happen in each of those matches of course.
