Well, it has been one of the best World Cup soccer tournaments I and I am sure you have seen in many a year, and congratulations to the France squad on entertaining us all and showing the rest of the world how soccer should be played!

A big shout out should also go to Croatia, for whilst they were of course the underdogs to win the final game yesterday, they did not go down without a fight and were very worthy second place finishers.

It will of course be another four years now until the next Group Stages, Final 16, Semi Finals and then the next World Cup final is played out, however you are always going to find the very latest soccer news here at the Soccer Times website, so make sure that you do bookmark this website and check back daily, for your fix of soccer related news stories!

It is also now that we can take a look at some of the best performing and also worst performing players in the 2018 World Cup tournament, and one player than will not be proud of his record in that tournament is Sebastian Larsson, for he managed to accumulate the most yellow cards, that being a whopping three of them in total!

Players Awarded Red Cards

Whilst no player is going to ever want to be awarded a red card when playing, there were certainly plenty of them given out during the World Cup 2018 soccer tournament, as the players who did rightly derives them included Carlos Sanchez Moreno who is a player for the Colombia team, Igor Smolnikov, a Russia player and Jerome Boateng who was of course playing for Germany.

Michal Lang a Switzerland player also managed to pick up a red card and much like all of the other players listed above he did rightly deserve getting red carded!

Top Goalscorers in the 2018Wordl Cup Tournament

It was a foregone conclusion in the latter stages of the World Cup 2018 tournament that Harry Kane was going to be the top goal scorer, unless a miracle occurred in the final few games. However, win the Golden Boot he did with a total of 6 goals.

Two France players that made in onto the top six listing of players that scored the most goals were Antoine Griezmann and Kylian Mbappe, who scored a total of four goals each.

In fact, there were a total of vie players that did score four goals each and the other three players were Cristiano Ronaldo part of the Portugal squad of course, Denis Cheryshev who played for Russia and also the Belgium player Romelu Lukaku.
