Manchester United will look to sign Benfica forward Goncalo Ramos if they fail in their efforts to land Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.

That’s according to a recent report from Football Insider, who claims the Premier League giants know who they want to permanently replace on-loan forward Wout Weghorst in the summer – England’s all-time record scorer; Harry Kane.

Kane, 29, is the preferred option – you know what you’ll get with him. The man just guaranteed goals.

However, with his ties to Tottenham Hotspur running deep, United may find it tough to lure the 29-year-old away from London.

Should the Red Devils fail to convince Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy to sell his prize asset, Erik Ten Hag and Manchester United will reportedly turn to Ramos instead.

Ramos is understood to have a whopping $131m release clause but United would offer considerably less to Benfica than that in the hope the Portuguese side agree to partways with the international.
