Ruben Neves could yet be swayed into extending his current deal with Wolves, as the Black Country club has reportedly made one final deal to the Portuguese international, according to The Sun.

The report claims that the central midfielder could be open to extending his stay at Molineux after the club’s revival under Julen Lopetegui. However, Wolves will need to pay more than they would like to keep their star, with the Portuguese willing to accept an extension worth over $ 110,000 per week.

Neves transfer blow for Man United and Arsenal

The latest reports would come as a huge blow for Premier League rivals Manchester United and Arsenal, who have both been long-term admirers of the star. Both clubs were looking at making a potential move for the star this summer, as it could have been an affordable alternative with Neves’s contract expiring in 12 months.

United have been strongly linked with Neves for the last two summers, with Erik ten Hag reportedly a huge fan. However, should the Portuguese sign a new deal, then both the Gunners and Red Devils will likely explore other midfield options.
