Real Madrid could be set to invest in their squad this summer, and have identified Chelsea’s Reece James as one of their key targets, according to the Daily Mail.
The two clubs met in Champions League action in midweek, with the Spanish champions landing a 2-0 win. However, they could be set to return to Stamford Bridge with a huge offer for the full-back this summer.
Real Madrid eye Reece James move
The reigning European champions are long-time admirers of the full-back, and reportedly made an approach for James last summer. However, a fresh move could be made in a couple of months if the Blues are forced to offload stars after spending over $700 million on new players under Todd Boehly.
Any deal will likely hinge on whether Chelsea need to sell stars, as there is otherwise no pressure. James recently signed a new deal with the club, tying the 23-year-old down at Stamford Bridge until the summer of 2028.
