Reports in the Netherlands are linking young Ajax defender Jurrien Timber with a move to Anfield.

The 21-year-old center-back, who can also play right back, was being discussed on the Dutch television show Veronica Offside by former Champions League winner and World Cup finalist Wesley Sneijder who was less than complimentary about his compatriot. “He loses every header and in England, against the wardrobes in the Premier League, that will be his downfall”.

It was then reported that Timber’s wife is currently looking for houses in Liverpool, adding speculation to his pending move to the Reds. A regular in the Ajax back line, Timber has won 41 out of 85 aerial duals and has previously been linked with reuniting with former manager Erik Ten Hag at Manchester United.
