Juventus are set to make a move for out-of-work manager Zinedine Zidane this summer, according to the Parisian-based sports outlet RMC Sport.

The ex-Real Madrid and French midfield maestro spent a spell as a player at Juve between 1996 and 2001, scoring 31 goals in 214 appearances in total for the club.

During his time in Italy, the Frenchman won the Serie A twice and became a Champions League runner-up twice before leaving for Real Madrid in the summer of 2001 for a reported $85m, a world record fee at the time.

At Real Madrid, he became one of Florentino Perez’s galacticos and after retirement in 2006, returned to the club as manager on two separate occasions, bringing the Champions League back to the Bernabeu three times in a row from 2016 and 2018. Current Juventus boss Max Allegri’s contract runs until 2025.
