Man City are braced for summer interest in central defender Aymeric Laporte, according to Relevo. The report claims that the 28-year-old is unhappy at the Etihad after playing limited games for the Premier League champions this season.
Laporte preparing for summer transfer away from Man City
Man City will reportedly not stand in Laporte’s way of leaving the club this summer, as the Premier League giants have already weighed up a number of replacements.
Laporte favors a move to Barcelona this summer, and is willing to take a drastic pay cut in order to force through the move. The Spain defender’s minutes have been limited this season, as he has been forced to play back-up to Manuel Akanji, John Stones, and Nathan Ake.
However, Laporte may look at other options this summer, as Barcelona recently signed Inigo Martinez, and it is believed that another central defender isn’t on their radar. Juventus and AC Milan are among the other teams that are monitoring the situation.
