Newcastle United have been linked with Man United midfielder Scott McTominay.
The Scotland international, 26, is believed to be frustrated with a lack of game time this season with Football Insider writer Fraser Fletcher reporting that the midfielder wishes to leave the club this season if he fails to gain assurances his game time will increase next season.
Newcastle United to step up interest in Scott McTominay
McTominay will only have two years left on his contract in the summer and the Magpies believe they will be able to gain the services for the midfielder at a good price at the end of the season.
The Scottish midfielder has failed to displace the first-choice pairing of Dane Christian Eriksen and Casemiro, who joined United in the summer window from Real Madrid in a deal worth $66m plus an additional $11m in add-ons.
Now the Scot believes his best chance of playing regularly at club level and keeping his place in the international side, could be by swapping Old Trafford for St James’ Park this summer.
