Inter Miami are still in the hunt to sign legend Lionel Messi who will leave Paris Saint-Germain on 30 June on a free transfer.
Messi, 35, has been offered a world-record contract to join Cristiano Ronaldo in the Saudia Arabian Pro League with Al-Hilal offering an eye-watering $442m a year deal for the Argentine.
Lionel Messi still on the radar of Inter Miami
However, according to the Guardian, Inter Miami remain interested in taking the World Cup winner to the MLS when his contract expires in the summer with President David Beckham meeting Messi during a trip to his former club’s training ground last week.
And Beckham is reportedly willing to take Barcelona and Al-Hilal to the wire as they look to secure a deal for the World Cup winner to improve on a start to the season which has seen Phil Neville’s side lose six of the first nine matches in their fourth season in the MLS.
