Pau Torres set to swap La Liga for Serie A?
The Villarreal-born central defender made his debut for the Spanish national team in 2019 at the age of just 22, scoring in a 7-0 rout of Malta and since then his career has gone from strength to strength. Torres became an important part of Luis Enrique’s Spain side that was only knocked out on penalties at the semi-final stage of Euro 2020 by Italy, forming an assured partnership with fellow left-footed central defender Aymeric Laporte during the campaign.
Torres’ contract with the Yellow Submarine comes to an end in the summer of next year with Juventus hoping they can secure a cut-price deal for a defender who is about to enter the peak years of his career.
