Crystal Palace will be looking to add to their options in the final third of the field this summer. It has been reported by Football Insider that the Eagles could make a move for Moussa Dembele.

However, Roy Hodgson will face a fight to secure the signing, as the Frenchman is also attracting interest from Premier League rivals Aston Villa.

Crystal Palace eye Dembele transfer

The Eagles have made it a summer priority to sign a new central striker this year, and Dembele has emerged as the top choice. The 26-year-old will be keen to move away from Lyon this summer, as the French club appears destined to miss out on a European finish.

Dembele hasn’t enjoyed the best scoring campaign for Lyon this term, as he has managed just three goals in 23 appearances. However, he remains a sought-after striker around Europe after netting 21 in 30 matches last season.

But, Palace could be set to enter a bidding war with Aston Villa to secure the signing. Dembele also has previous experience of playing in England, as he netted 15 goals in 43 Championship appearances for Fulham in 2015-16.
