AC Milan want to sign on-loan Real Madrid winger Brahim Diaz on a permanent basis at the end of the season.
The Champions League semi-finalists have already convinced fellow winger and star man Rafael Leao to stay at the San Siro after the Portuguese signed a new five-year contract last week. And according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato, the Milanese also want to retain the services of the 23-year-old Spaniard who has failed to make an impact at the Bernabeu since joining Real Madrid in 2019.
Brahim Diaz set for San Siro stay?
The former Man City man has starred on the right-hand side in Stefano Pioli’s 4-3-3 formation for the last two seasons, scoring a crucial goal in a 1-0 win at Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League Round of 16 with his consistent performances making him a regular in the side.
However, cash-strapped Milan can not afford to bid a high amount for Diaz and are relying on Los Blancos seeing the Spaniard as surplus to requirements, with Daichi Kamada seen by the Rossoneri as an alternative option on a free transfer this summer from Eintracht Frankfurt.
