Bayern Munich forward Sadio Mane wants to leave the club after only one season in Germany.
The ex-Liverpool star has struggled to settle in Bavaria this season, scoring only seven goals in 24 league outings for the Bundesliga champions. And according to Sky Sports, the Senegalese attacker now looks destined to leave the club in the summer after teammates distanced themselves from Mane in the Bayern Munich dressing room.
Bavarian giants open the door for Sadio Mane summer exit
According to German journalist Florian Plettenberg, Mane’s most likely summer destination will be the Premier League as his days in Germany look to be numbered.
The 31-year-old has endured a tumultuous season first through injury, which meant he missed out on representing his country at the World Cup, and then a run of bad form upon his return.
Mane’s frustrations this season led to an outburst at the end of Bayern’s 3-0 defeat at Man City in the Champions League quarter-final in which he allegedly punched teammate Leroy Sane, resulting in a fine of $380,000.
