Arsenal have made midfielder Reiss Nelson a third contract offer as they remain desperate to keep the 23-year-old at the club.

Nelson is set to leave the club on 30 June as a free agent if a new contract can not be agreed and according to CBS journalist James Benge, the Gunners are keen to keep the midfielder who has proved to be an important member of the squad this season.

Reiss Nelson’s future at Arsenal remains in doubt

Nelson has provided crucial moments for the Gunners during the title race this season, including a memorable last-gasp winner at home to Bournemouth which kept Arsenal top of the league back in March.

Since then, Arsenal’s title challenge has fallen at the last hurdle, and rivals Man City will wrap up their third Premier League title in as many seasons if they beat Chelsea on Sunday, or if the Gunners lose to Nottingham Forest at the City Ground the day before.
