Tottenham Hotspur have become shock contenders for the signature of Chelsea’s out-of-form goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.

The Senegalese international has fallen out of favor at Stamford Bridge this season and was at fault for Nottingham Forest’s first goal last weekend in the Blues’ disappointing 2-2 draw at home.

Edouard Mendy could be set to swap West London for North.

And according to The Sun’s Andy Dillon, Mendy could be set to head to North London rivals Tottenham in the summer after the 31-year-old rejected a new deal to stay at Chelsea.

Mendy would be a ready-made replacement for outgoing captain Hugo Lloris, who looks certain to have already played in his last match for Spurs, with a big-money move to Saudi Arabia looming for the World Cup winner.

Lloris will reportedly treble his wages in Saudi Arabia and will complete a move once his contract at Spurs ends on 30 June.
