Arsenal, Barcelona, and Manchester City all remain in the race for Ilkay Gundogan’s signature next season.

The 32-year-old German held the Premier League trophy aloft yesterday after sealing an astonishing fifth league title in six seasons.

And according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, talks continue between Gundogan and the Citizens over thrashing out a new contract that would now run until the summer of 2025, with no bid being accepted or rejected as of yet.

Ilkay Gundogan set to stay at the Etihad Stadium?

A bid remains on the table from Barcelona, with Gundogan not making a decision on an offer from the Catalan giants either.

And according to the Athletic’s David Ornstein this morning, it has also been confirmed that Arsenal have entered the three-way fight for the Manchester City captain, with Gunners boss Mikel Arteta expecting ex-captain Granit Xhaka will leave the club this summer for Bayer Leverkusen.
