Barcelona have reached an agreement with Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves as part of a swap deal with 20-year-old Spain forward Ansu Fati set to move in the other direction.
According to the Spanish newspaper Sport, Neves is seen by Xavi Hernandez as a potential replacement for long-standing captain Sergio Busquets, who is set to leave the club after 18 years at the Nou Camp.
Barcelona set to swap Ansu Fati for Ruben Neves
Neves left Wolves’ final home game of the season in tears on Saturday, appearing to wave goodbye to the fans for a final time after his side’s 1-1 draw against Everton on Saturday.
But Wolves fans will not be waiting long for a signing of their own, with Spanish forward Ansu Fati set to make a move in the opposite direction after failing to make a great impact on a Barca side that won La Liga with four matches left to play, falling down the pecking order behind wingers Raphinha and Ousmane Dembele.
