Erik Ten Hag’s feelings on signing Mason Mount revealed

Man United boss remains confident of landing Chelsea star

Manchester United head coach Erik Ten Hag is ‘confident’ he can shake off interest from Liverpool and Arsenal and sign Mason Mount from Chelsea this summer.

The England international has struggled for form and fitness in a disappointing campaign at Stamford Bridge, starting just over half of the Blues Premier League fixtures.

And after it was revealed last week that Mount’s preference would be to move to Old Trafford, the Daily Telegraph’s chief football correspondent Jason Burt believes that Erik Ten Hag remains ‘confident of landing Mount’ as part of a summer overhaul with midfielder Scott McTominay set to leave the club this summer.

Mount set to ignore interest from Liverpool and Arsenal

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool were in pole position for Mount but with Erik Ten Hag’s men being able to offer Mount Champions League football next season, Chelsea’s number 19 looks all set to swap London for Manchester next season and bolster a thin-looking midfield.
