Newcastle step up transfer interest in Maia
The 21-year-old Brazilian is on the shortlist of a number of Premier League sides this summer, with both West Ham United and Fulham also monitoring the midfielder.
However, a move to St James’ Park could appeal, as the promise of Champions League action could appeal.
Maia has been a standout star for Sao Paulo since coming through the youth system, and he has played 23 times across all competitions this term. So far, he has scored twice in eight Serie A outings for the Brazilian giants, and there is a growing sense that Sao Paulo will be looking to cash in on their star this summer.
