Bayern Munich right-back Benjamin Pavard will leave the Allianz Arena this summer after turning down the offer of a contract extension.

The World Cup winner is set to be out of contract at the Bundesliga champions in 12 months and according to German journalist Tobi Altschaffl, the Bavarians want to cash in on the Frenchman this summer whilst they still can.

World Cup winner Benjamin Pavard set to leave Bayern Munich

Pavard joined Bayern in 2019 from relegated Stuttgart and has won four consecutive Bundesliga titles during his time in Bavaria. According to reports, the 27-year-old is now seeking a fresh challenge away from Germany with Italian giants Inter Milan heavily linked.

Despite reaching the Champions League final this season, cash-strapped Inter will only manage to afford the full-back at a cut-price fee. With this, the race for Pavard’s signature remains open with Bayern aiming to drive up the price for the Frenchman as far as possible.
