Newcastle United are reportedly monitoring Amadou Onana ahead of a summer move this year.
The Magpies were interested in the central midfielder during the January transfer window, but were knocked back in their approach as the Toffees wanted to keep hold of the 21-year-old until the end of the season.
Newcastle interested in Onana transfer
Newcastle are among a number of clubs tracking the Everton star, with Chronicle Live reporting that both Chelsea and Manchester United are also keeping tabs on the Toffees player. However, Everton could be set to listen to offers for the midfielder this summer, as they plan an overhaul of the squad following their escape from relegation.
Onana has been a rare bright spark in a miserable season at Goodison Park, having scored once and registered two assists in 33 league outings.
Everton only signed the Belgium international last summer for $30 million, and they will be aiming to achieve a considerable return on the Senegalese-born star this summer.
