Man United look set to bring in a new goalkeeper this summer, regardless of whether David De Gea signs an extension at the Theatre of Dreams.

The latest reports in Corriere dello Sport (page 15) have indicated that the Red Devils could step up their interest in Inter Milan star Andre Onana.

Despite De Gea looking primed to sign a new deal at Old Trafford, Erik ten Hag is reluctant to admit that the Spaniard will be his number one target for the 2023-24 season.

Onana is a goalkeeper that ten Hag has worked with previously, as the 27-year-old played under the Dutchman during his time at Ajax. The Cameroonian has always admitted his interest in playing in the Premier League, as he revealed that he dreamed of playing in England back in 2019.

United look set to face competition for the $50 million-rated shot-stopper, as Chelsea have also been monitoring his progression this term. However, no potential move from either club is likely to come before Inter Milan’s Champions League final showdown with Manchester City.
