According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the fee for the Gabonese international center forward will be around the $7m mark, with Boupendza joining his tenth professional club in a career that has seen him play in countries including France, Portugal, and Turkey.

Boupendza is seen by many as the replacement for outgoing Gabonese captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has been linked with a move away from Chelsea to Saudi Arabia this summer.

FC Cincinnati currently sits top of the MLS overall standards, eight points clear of second-place Nashville SC, with the Orange and Blues’ only losing one of their opening 16 matches so far this campaign.
