Manchester City could be set to face a fight to keep hold of one of their star players this summer, as a Saudi Arabian club is weighing up making a move for Riyad Mahrez.
Reports from CBS have claimed that Al Ahli have stepped up their interest in City’s winger after falling short in their goal to bring Lionel Messi to the Middle East.

A deal for the 32-year-old may be one of the priciest conducted by the Saudi clubs this summer, as the reigning Premier League champions will not allow Mahrez to leave on a free transfer.
However, Al Ahli have a concrete interest in the Algerian international, and will reportedly make a move after this weekend’s Champions League final.
Mahrez has enjoyed another excellent season at the Etihad, as he has scored five goals and registered ten assists across 30 Premier League outings for the club. The Algerian could also play a role for the club in this weekend’s showdown with Inter Milan in Istanbul.
