Arsenal will reportedly have to fork out $75m if they are to sign Chelsea striker Kai Havertz this summer.

The German international was on the scoresheet for Die Mannschaft in Germany’s 3-3 international friendly draw with Ukraine on Monday and according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, the Gunners have already made an opening proposal to sign the center forward, who can also play just behind the striker as a number ten.

Kai Havertz keen on Arsenal move

Havertz is believed to want the move as the Gunners have ramped up their pursuit of the German in recent days. Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are also in the hunt for Havertz with former Blues boss Thomas Tuchel still a fan and with just two years left on his current deal at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea are open to a sale this summer.

After scoring just nine times in 47 appearances, Havertz’s evaluation is thought to have decreased significantly following his $113.8m transfer from Bayer Leverkusen back in 2020.

Real Madrid had also been linked with the forward, but are unlikely to stump up even close to $60m for the 24-year-old.
