Leicester City are prepared to make a move for Colorado Rapids winger and USMNT international Jonathan Lewis.

The 26-year-old is seen as a long-term replacement for Harvey Barnes, who is widely expected to leave this summer for a Premier League club along with his Foxes’ teammate James Maddison.

Since switching from New York City FC in 2019, the nippy winger has contributed an impressive 26 goals in 118 outings in all competitions and is seen by the Rapids as one of their most valued assets.

New Leicester boss Enzo Maresca is aiming for a quick return to the Premier League following the Foxes’ shock relegation to the Championship and according to Football Insider transfer correspondent Pete O’Rourke, the new King Power Stadium chief is set to make his first signing since taking over with Lewis available at a price of just $650,000.
