Edin Dzeko has travelled to Istanbul to complete his move to Turkish giants Fenerbahce after leaving Inter Milan on a free transfer.

The 37-year-old veteran striker was set to become a free agent next week when his contract runs out at San Siro but the Turkish side have announced via their Social Media platforms this morning that they have snapped up the Bosnian hitman subject to a medical.

Bosnia and Herzegovina captain Dzeko moves to Turkey

Dzeko started the Champions League final in his last match for the Nerazzurri being preferred to on-loan striker Romelu Lukaku by coach Simeone Inzaghi as Inter lost 1-0 to Manchester City, in a game that also took place in Istanbul.

Dzeko will join fellow Premier League alumni such as Joshua King and Michy Batshuayi in Turkey’s largest city, as The Yellow Canaries seek to close the gap between themselves and bitter city rivals Galatasaray, who won last season’s Turkey Super Lig by eight clear points.
