Chelsea are on the verge of completing their second signing of the summer transfer window after Villarreal striker Nicolas Jackson completed his medical with the Stamford Bridge club.
A fee in the region of $40 million has already been agreed between the two clubs, and an official announcement could be made on Monday, according to the Athletic.
Nicolas Jackson set to sign eight-year Chelsea deal
Chelsea already appear to have addressed their issues in the final third of the pitch in the summer window, with Jackson joining Christopher Nkunku through the Stamford Bridge entrance.
Jackson almost moved to the Premier League in the winter window, but a move to Bournemouth broke down after the striker failed a medical.
The 22-year-old signed for Villarreal in 2019, before enjoying a productive spell on loan to Mirandes. After returning to the Spanish giants, he made his breakthrough in the 2021-22 season.
Following the breakdown of the move to Bournemouth, Jackson ended the season by scoring nine goals across April and May to take his tally for the season to 12.
