Newcastle United could be set to make another move for an Italian star this summer following their move for Sandro Tonali.
The Magpies are currently weighing up a $60 million move for Juventus star Federico Chiesa, according to Corriere dello Sport.
Newcastle plot move for Federico Chiesa
Newcastle are reportedly one of a number of Premier League clubs weighing up a move for Chiesa this summer. Aston Villa had enquired about his services, but the Italian isn’t keen on a move to the West Midlands.
The Magpies will likely face increased competition from Liverpool and Man United, with both clubs reportedly monitoring the situation.
Chiesa was one of the standout performers at EURO 2020, but he has struggled with injury issues for Juventus since the start of the 2021-22 season.
The 25-year-old made 21 league appearances last term, scoring twice and registering five assists. However, he ended the season in excellent form, scoring the winner in Italy’s Nations League 3rd place playoff against the Netherlands.
