Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte is attracting interest from Premier League rivals Arsenal and Juventus ahead of a potential summer move.

The 29-year-old impressed last season but saw his game time limited somewhat falling behind Ruben Dias, John Stones, and Nathan Ake in Pep Guardiola’s defensive pecking order.

And as reported earlier today, the Catalan manager is now also set to sign a new center-back in RB Leipzig’s Croatian stalwart Josko Gvardiol, putting Laporte’s future in further doubt.

According to the Catalan news outlet Mundo Deportivo, Guardiola’s former assistant Mikel Arteta is keeping tabs on the Spanish international who capped off a terrific personal season by winning the UEFA Nations League last month.

Arteta is keen on bolstering his defense which showed its soft center at times during the end of last season with the Gunners conceding four goals to City as well as three at home to Southampton and Brighton in the Premier League title run-in.

Serie A giants Juventus also remain suitors of Laporte who still has two years left to run on his current deal at the Etihad Stadium.
