Tottenham Hotspur have emerged as the bookmakers’ favorites to sign Manchester United club captain Harry Maguire this summer.

The 30-year-old has endured a nightmare four years since moving to Old Trafford in 2019 and according to Caught Offside’s Magnus Eriksen, Spurs are now 3/1 favorites with Ladbrokes to sign the England international on a cut-price deal.

The former Leicester man’s future has been under much scrutiny ever since the signing of Lisandro Martinez from United boss Erik Ten Hag’s ex-club Ajax last summer.

Spurs’ new head coach Ange Postecoglou is reportedly about to let fellow center-backs Eric Dier and Davinson Sanchez leave North London this summer and with a permanent move for last season’s on-loan defender Clement Lenglet not yet forthcoming, the Australian is in the market for at least two central defenders.

Whilst talks with Wolfsburg defender Micky Van De Ven remain ongoing, it would not be a surprise if Spurs also make a move for England center-back Maguire who still has two years left to run on his contract at Old Trafford.
