Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg keen on Atleti switch
Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has reportedly informed the club’s recruitment team to advance with the deal after hearing of further interest in Hojbjerg from Germany.
New Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou is not thought to be convinced that the functional Hojbjerg can adapt to the free-flowing style he brought during his time in charge of Celtic and it would appear the Danish international would be more suited to Simeone’s more defensive style of play.
If a move was to happen, it would be the third time this summer already that Simeone will have dipped into the Premier League market following the Rojiblanco’s moves for defensive duo Caglar Soyuncu and Cesar Azpilicueta on free transfers.
