Tottenham Hotspur are keenly monitoring the situation of Bayer Leverkusen central defender Edmond Tapsoba ahead of a potential summer move.
As reported earlier this week, new Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou identified 22-year-old defender Micky Van De Ven as a priority signing this summer due to the club’s major defensive issues last term.
Edmond Tapsoba set for move to North London?
Tapsoba, 24, has now also been identified as a potential target by the Lilywhites according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano after an impressive campaign with Xabi Alonso’s side, helping guide The Black and Reds to the semi-finals of the Europa League last season.

The decision will ultimately be up to Australian Postecoglou whether to proceed with a deal for Van De Ven or to opt for Burkino Faso international Tapsoba. A move for both young central defenders is currently looking unlikely due to financial difficulties, however, with Spurs already having to stump up a combined figure of over $70m for summer signings James Maddison and goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario.
