Saudi Arabian side Al Ahli will make a $40m offer for Manchester City wing wizard Riyad Mahrez.
Mahrez, 32, has reportedly been offered a package worth an incredible $32.5m a year in wages at the Saudi Pro League side according to The Athletic’s Sam Lee.
Riyad Mahrez set for Saudi switch?
Despite $40m representing excellent value for a 32-year-old, it is thought that City are not keen on a sale. The Algerian international is currently weighing up his options and could still yet stay at the Etihad Stadium, where he has two years left remaining on his contract.
Al Ahli want to recruit Mahrez and consider him the star arrival of their summer.
They have already brought in Edouard Mendy from Chelsea and Roberto Firmino from Liverpool on a free transfer but have been largely trumped by Saudi rivals Al Ittihad who have snapped up Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema from Real Madrid and Chelsea’s N’golo Kante this summer.
