West Ham are becoming increasingly frustrated about the delay in the deal to sell Declan Rice to Arsenal for $127m.

According to Sky Sports, the hold-up is being caused by delays in the paperwork being drawn up by lawyers working for Arsenal. The Gunners are hopeful of completing the signing of the England international before they set off for their pre-season tour in the US on Sunday.

Declan Rice move in doubt?

As far as the Hammers are aware, Rice has completed his medical at Arsenal and so have been left confused as to what is causing the hold-up.

Mikel Arteta’s men are also set to complete the transfer of Ajax defender Jurrien Timber for $44m up front with the Dutch international expected to start his time at the club predominately as a right-back which will allow Ben White to move back to his natural center-back position next season.
