Manchester United have turned their attention back to a new striker after agreeing on a fee with Inter Milan for Andre Onana.
However, Atalanta will need to compromise on their $80 million asking price, with the Red Devils threatening to turn their attention to Eintracht Frankfurt’s Randal Kolo Muani.
United looking for Atalanta compromise over Rasmus Hojlund fee
United have been on the hunt for a new striker throughout the summer transfer window, and could now be prepared to make their first bid for Rasmus Hojlund, according to ESPN.
However, the Red Devils are committed to not being held to ransom over their interest. Atalanta has demanded that the Premier League club pay $80m to get the deal over the line, but United will open their bidding with a fee closer to $50m.
United aren’t afraid to walk away from the deal if they feel that the Serie A club are asking for too much, as they still have a long-standing interest in French striker Muani.
